Lucknow, 11 September 2025: The Indo-German Cooperation for Safety, Health and Wellbeing (IGC-SHW), Noida, in collaboration with DGUV Germany and the International Social Security Association (ISSA), successfully held the International Vision Zero Workshop at SLMG Beverages Private Limited, Lucknow.

The workshop focused on promoting the Vision Zero system to prevent workplace accidents, occupational diseases, and to ensure employee well-being. The initiative underlined the need for proactive safety measures so that disasters like the Bhopal gas tragedy are never repeated.

Over 35 participants from SLMG and neighbouring industries of Kursi Road Industrial Area, attended the event. Sessions highlighted best practices, case studies, and tools to build a culture of safety and prevention.

In his keynote address, Shri Karunesh Srivastava, Director of Vision Zero Rating System India and Former Assistant Director, DG FASLI, Ministry of Labour & Employment, explained the origins of the Vision Zero concept. He emphasised that safe behaviour can be achieved through education, awareness, collective commitment and by adopting the Seven Golden Rules of Vision Zero.

The workshop was made successful through the efforts of Shri Raman Sharma, Vice President (Technical), Shri Maheshwer Pandey (Production head) and Shri Atul Mishra, Head (Safety) of SLMG Beverages Pvt. Ltd.
