Haryana: The Third Regional International Vision Zero Expert Conference on “Emerging Vision Zero Strategies for Developing an Active Safety Culture at Workplaces” was successfully organized at Red Bishop Tourist Complex, Panchkula, by the Indo-German Cooperation for Safety, Health and Wellbeing (IGC-SHW), Noida, in association with ISSA Construction and DGUV, Germany, along with partner organizations.
More than 50 safety experts, policymakers, industry representatives, academicians, and government and non-government organization representatives from India and abroad participated in the conference.
Experts deliberated on Vision Zero strategies for preventing workplace accidents and occupational diseases, strengthening safety management, and promoting employee wellbeing. They emphasized collective and proactive efforts to achieve the goals of zero accidents, zero occupational diseases, and healthier workplaces.
Prominent speakers included Prof. Karl-Heinz Noetel, Dr. Sven Timm, Prof. P. P. Mitra, Dr. Avneesh Singh, and Kristina Eger, along with several national and international experts. Participants also shared case studies, practical experiences, and innovative approaches for implementing Vision Zero.
Experts expressed confidence that effective adoption of Vision Zero principles can help create safer, healthier and more sustainable workplaces while supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The conference was supported by the valuable contributions of Mr. Brijmohan, Mr. Karunesh Srivastava, Mr. Arvind Kumar Mishra, and Mr. Ajit Chaubey.
